Take our The Last of Us Part 2 system requirements PC benchmark test to answer the question… Can I run The Last of Us Part 2?

The Last of Us Part 2 minimum requirements don’t provide any shocks, outside of targeting 720p as a resolution. You’ll need an Intel Core i3 8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X CPU alongside an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT GPU.

You’ll also need 16GB of RAM, which might be a stretch for some older gaming PCs and laptops from a time when 8GB was the norm. The good news is that you can buy some of the best gaming RAM for fairly cheap now, and the upgrade itself is simple.

As for the Last of Us Part 2 recommended specs, these take a decent step up, now asking for an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 alongside an Intel Core i5 8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600. These specs target 1080p and 60fps when playing at the medium graphics preset.

Here are the Last of Us Part 2 high and ultra system requirements:

    High (1440p, 60fps) Ultra (4K, 60fps)
OS Windows 10 or later Windows 10 or later
    CPU Intel Core i7 9700K
    AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
    Intel Core i7 11700
    AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
    GPU Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070
    AMD Radeon RX 6800
    Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080
    AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT
VRAM At least 8GB At least 16GB
    Storage 150GB SSD 150GB SSD
    RAM 16GB 32GB

If you’re eyeing up the Last of Us Part 2 high specs, you’ll need an Intel Core i7 9700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X alongside an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800. If you can meet these demands, you can expect to play at 1440p with 60fps using the high graphical preset.

Finally, we have the Last of Us Part 2 ultra specs, which targets 4K resolution and 60fps using the very high graphical preset. You’ll need an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT paired with an Intel Core i7 11700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X. The RAM requirement also doubles here to 32GB.

As for The Last of Us Part 2 download size, this comes in at a chunky 150GB, and you’ll need one of the best SSDs for gaming regardless of which system requirements tier you’re targeting.

In the blog post confirming the specs, Naughty Dog also confirmed that Nvidia DLSS 3 and both AMD FSR 3.1 and 4 are present in the game. When Part 1 launched, it was quite the lopsided battle as DLSS outperformed FSR massively, so AMD will be glad that isn’t the case in Part 2.
