Unfortunately for anyone hoping to abstain from buying stuff throughout November, Black Friday is nowadays a month-long event. And it looks like JB Hi-Fi has quietly pressed “go” on some of its Black Friday PS5 game discounts, because there are a bunch of really good deals on 2025 blockbuster releases live already.
I should be clear about this: these don’t look like official JB Hi-Fi Black Friday deals. Currently the retailer is running Black Friday “teaser deals”, and these game discounts aren’t a part of them. But the deals are cheaper than what the competition is currently offering, and in most cases beat even Amazon’s offering.
My pick for the best deal has to go to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 for AU$59 (excl. shipping). It’s an obvious contender for 2025’s GOTY, and unless you really hate turn-based combat – Clair Obscur is basically a French take on the JRPG – I can unreservedly recommend it to just about anyone.
As far as bang-for-buck goes, Monster Hunter Wilds for AU$29 is a steal. Our reviewer Austin Wood called it “the new peak of the series and an early contender for game of the year” back in February. In this post-Clair Obscur world that last point might seem a little unlikely, but it’s definitely neck-and-neck with Borderlands 4 – which is also on sale for AU$69 – as among the best PS5 co-op games.
Here are the five best PS5 deals on JB Hi-Fi at the moment:
It’s worth noting that JB Hi-Fi doesn’t ship for free: It’ll cost you at least AU$2.29 to have a game delivered to your doorstep, or if you have an outlet available you can click-and-collect. For fast shipping, that’ll put you back a pretty reasonable AU$5.99, though that depends where you live.
Those aren’t the only PS5 game deals at JB Hi-Fi at the moment – they’re just our faves. Here are some others that might pique your interest.
