I just found the perfect distraction while we wait for the 1.7 update, thanks to this massive deal on the official Stardew Valley cookbook

The official Stardew Valley cookbook has just got a massive Cyber Monday discount, letting you pick up the New York Times best-seller for just $14.60. In terms of Cyber Monday gaming deals, this is probably one of the best for anyone looking for fun Christmas gifts, or for any curious culinary gamers who have always wanted to taste the iconic Pink cake or the Lucky Lunch from ConcerndApe’s farming sim.

The official Stardew Valley cookbook is a hardcover novel that has 50 recipes based on in-game meals and food. The pages are all in color with cute illustrations, making this a perfect coffee table decoration as well as a fun cookbook that lets you bring an element of Stardew Valley to life. Fans will also be happy to know that ConcernedApe himself worked with Ryan Novak in order to bring this book to life, so it’s got the creator of Stardew Valley’s official mark of approval as well.

Should you buy the official Stardew Valley cookbook?

The official Stardew Valley cookbook is the only official cookbook out there for the game; all the other variants are fan-made, meaning that this is the product that is not only recognized by ConcernedApe but also made in part by him as well. However, if you are a massive Stardew Valley fan, before you consider picking this up, you’ll need to know that not every recipe from the game is in here. Stardew Valley technically has over 100 recipes for players to unlock, while this cookbook only has 50.

If you are OK with the cut-down selection, you’ll be happy to know that the cookbook is stunning. Every page is colored and is full of charm and whimsy. Recipes are organized by seasons, and you’ll even get characters signing off on a few, such as the Queen of Sauce and Gus from the Saloon. The attention to detail and quality make the cookbook the perfect addition to any home, and (speaking from personal experience) it’s a great gift idea for any Stardew Valley fan in your life as well.

But, before you add this to your shopping cart, it has gone for cheaper this year. Back in July, the cookbook was discounted for $11.63. While there’s no way of knowing if it will be that cheap again, it’s still worth keeping in mind if you decide you want to wait until next year to see if you can nab it for a better price. You will miss out on the holiday/gift potential, though, so keep that in mind!
