What are the best Hytale servers? Just like Minecraft, Hytale is a fantastic game to explore alone, but it’s so much better with others. After years spent making friends in Minecraft servers, we’ve now started looking for our new Hytale home.
With the sandbox game having only launched recently, even Hytale server owners weren’t able to get anything built beforehand, so don’t expect anything ground-breaking from these servers just yet. Instead, it’s a great time to be among the first to claim your space, meet some new friends, and make a name for yourself as an early player in one of the promising Hytale servers below.
We’ve visited all of these servers to check their current state before including them in this list. We’re also keeping an eye out for more servers to be released, including modded servers, Skyblock, and more.
The best Hytale servers
Here are the best Hytale servers right now, whatever category you’re looking for:

Hyfable – Survival
IP: go.hyfable.com
Game modes: Vanilla survival, PvE
Hyfable has a decent playerbase already, and is split into four servers: two for PvE and two for PvP. On arrival into the Hyfable server, use the command /instance to choose which world you want to play in, and head off into adventure! The only thing we would say right now – and this really goes for any server in this list – is not to get too attached to belongings or builds, server crashes have been known to happen, and they have wiped inventories. Don’t forget, it’s early on in early access, so it’s not going to be perfect.
Right now, Hyfable is focused on giving players who want a multiplayer home the earliest chance of getting geared up, set up, and building a cosy home. This is vanilla survival. However, there is a longer-term plan here to have most other server modes, including Skyblock, minigames, PvP, and more.

Hytopia – Survival
IP: hytopia.modded.fun
Game modes: Vanilla survival, PvE
To reiterate, there’s not a lot going on in these servers yet, but there are already some massive bases taking form in Hytopia, so if you want a good spot, now’s the time to get your claim locked in. Hytopia already looks set to be one of the more popular survival servers, especially given the view when you open the map, which shows all the areas already claimed. To do so yourself, simply use the /simpleclaims command, pick your spot, and get building.

Palandriel – Survival PvE
IP: play.palandriel.net
Game modes: Survival, PvE, Economy
From what we can see so far, and what we know of multiplayer servers, Palandriel has perhaps the most potential of any on this list. Not only is it the only one we’ve seen so far to specifically cite plans for a city spawn hub, but Palandriel also has a clear set of rules on its website, relating to gameplay, building, and more. It communicates that, in the short term, we can look forward to an anti-grief system (claiming and protection mechanics), the creation of the central hub, and the setup of an economy system, which will serve as the backbone for progression and interaction.
Palandriel is set to be a medieval-themed server, so you might not want to join if that style doesn’t suit your base plans. However, that is a style that lends itself perfectly to vanilla Hytale, so we think Palandriel will be a great place to call home.

HyRivals – PvP
IP: play.hyrivals.gg
Game modes: PvP
Hyrivals is actually the most fully developed Hytale server we’ve seen so far. A dedicated PvP server, HyRivals currently exists as a practice battleground. Drop into the world, literally, and you can start fighting other players, giving you a chance to get used to Hytale PvP. It even has a neat little KD ratio table on the right-hand side, and you spawn in with health potions and a full loadout of basic weapons.
In time, HyRivals will eventually become a fully realized PvP server, but we love that the team has already made a unique server in the short time Hytale has been live, and we think this is only a good sign of what’s to come.

EliteHytale – PvP
IP: play.elitehytale.com
Game modes: PvP
EliteHytale actively promotes its active staff, which always makes a server feel that much safer – especially when it comes to PvP. We’re assured that griefing, language, and other undesirable behaviour is monitored and dealt with swiftly.
Like the rest of these servers, EliteHytale is in its very early days. It is also run by the creator of the successful Ark server EliteArk, though, so you know it’s in good hands. Despite just being launched, new changes are happening almost daily, with a party system being the most recent addition. And, being a PvP server, you’re going to need as big an army as possible. There’s also a cute new spawn area and an early emphasis on performance, plus, you can take this time to find a home before things heat up.

How to join a Hytale server
Check out our guide to Hytale multiplayer if you want to host your own private server with friends, but if you want to join one of these Hytale servers, then follow these steps:
- Launch Hytale.
- Head to the ‘Servers’ tab.
- Click the ‘Direct Connect’ button.
- Enter the server’s IP from the list above.
- Click ‘Connect’!
If you like what you find, you can then add the server to your list so it’s ready to join every time you launch the game. To do this:
- Launch Hytale.
- Head to the ‘Servers’ tab.
- Click the ‘Add Server’ button.
- Enter the IP into the ‘Connection Address’ box.
- Name the server – we suggest the server’s name!
- Click ‘Add Server’.
Once you’ve picked one of the best Hytale servers above, go forth and explore! Or fight, depending on your pick. We’re more into the vanilla survival game elements, to be honest, but whether you’re into PvE or PvP, we all have one thing in common – the need for the best Hytale weapons in our inventory.
