Nintendo Switch 2 discounts have been far more common in 2025 than you might have expected at the beginning of the year: new consoles tend to stay at RRP for ages (when they’re readily available). And in this age of frequent console price hikes, it’s even more surprising. But it is what it is: there have been plenty of opportunities to pay below RRP for a Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025.

And that holds true for the bundles as well. Both the Mario Kart World and Pokémon Legends: Z-A bundles are down to AU$716 on Amazon, which is a AU$53.95 saving on the RRP. Even better, eBay is currently offering the Mario Kart World bundle for as little as AU$633.25, with an eBay Plus membership, or AU$670.50 without one.
I think it goes without saying that Mario Kart World is worthwhile: it’s basically mandatory for couch competition if you own a Nintendo console. But here’s our reviewer Rollin Bishop: “It’s easy to imagine playing this latest entry for a decade in much the same way as Mario Kart 8, and my relatively minor frustrations all slip away in the breeze of a good drift followed by an exceptionally well-shot Green Shell.”
Pokemon Legends: Z-A is a little less mandatory compared to Mario Kart, but if you’re diving into the next Nintendo generation as a Pokemon fan, it’s probably essential. “Fast fluid real-time fights and a world worth exploring make this finally feel like the anime come to life,” Catherine Lewis wrote in our review.
It’s worth noting that the price on the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle isn’t the cheapest we’ve had in Australia this year. That honour goes to an eBay deal earlier this year that was exclusive to eBay Plus subscribers, offering the package for a frankly-mindblowing AU$659.
I don’t think that’s likely to happen again any time soon, but since it’s still early days in this Black Friday season, there’s a possibility these bundle prices will go a touch lower.
