Newsbrief: Epic’s digital content marketplace Fab has been bundled into the Epic Games Launcher to make it easier for users to grab content for their projects.
“Access Fab’s entire library of diverse assets—and all of your Fab acquisitions—without having to leave the Launcher,” explained Epic in a brief announcement. “You can also batch add-to-cart, batch download, and batch export assets directly to your favorite digital content creation (DCC) tool with one click, simplifying your workflow.”
Fab assets can be exported in a range of filetypes to popular DCCs and game engines including Unreal Engine, Unity, Blender, 3ds Max, Maya, and Cinema 4D. Users can also take advantage of custom disk and socket export options to tailor their export flow to suit their pipeline.
The latest version of the Epic Games Launcher is required in order to access Fab. You can visit the Unreal Engine blog for more information.
