If you’ve ever found yourself paralysed by a backlog but still willingly opened your wallet for “one more banger,” we suffer the same disease, my friend. I’ve stared down more digital shopping carts than I’d care to admit, and today’s deals haul came back stacked. In case I don’t see you, stay safe, save often, and catch you Monday!
This Day in Gaming 🎂
In retro news, I’m commemorating the 35th birthday of Magic Sword, an arcade classic. In this Capcom hack ‘n’ slash side-scroller, you were cast as one of two He-Man types and set loose on 51 floors of mummies, dragons, and…er, Easter Island heads? Nabbing keys and releasing prisoners would add an AI party member who basically acted like a side weapon pod. What hooked me most: the left-field inclusion of a ninja. Because in the late ’80s and early ’90s, any game featuring a ninja instantly became a must-play. I was proper obsessed.

Nice Savings for Nintendo Switch
On Switch, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is absurdly cheap for a game crafted under the quiet guidance of Shigeru Miyamoto himself. The combat’s XCOM-lite with a chaotic Mushroom Kingdom twist, and the Rabbids surprisingly don’t suck. Meanwhile, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is still flying high thanks to its mind-bending physics engine. I’ve spent hours building stuff I had no business engineering, and I don’t regret a second of it.

Exciting Bargains for Xbox
Over on Xbox Series X, Judgment is a spin-off that outshines some mainline Yakuza entries. I loved losing hours to its side cases, which feel like noir sitcom episodes. And Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition finally delivers on CD Projekt’s original lofty promise. On Series X, Night City sings.

Pure Scores for PlayStation
PS5-wise, Hitman World of Assassination is the best stealth sandbox money can buy. The ability to turn a grape press into a murder weapon is pure IO Interactive magic. Also, Tales of Arise features some of the sharpest anime-styled combat this side of Scarlet Nexus.

Purchase Cheap for PC
Lastly, The Outer Worlds on PC might just be the funniest RPG since New Vegas. With Obsidian at the helm again, its tongue-in-cheek capitalism critiques still hit. Pair it with Octopath Traveler 1 + 2 if you love eye-melting pixel art and killer turn-based battles.
